Autumn 1

Hello and welcome to Nursery!

This term we will be focusing our learning around the topic 'Ourselves and Our community'. We will be learning all about our bodies and our feelings as we start the term. We will then move on to learning about people who help us.

This term Forest school will be on a Tuesday and PE will be on a Thursday. Please come ready in kits.

Reading books will be handed out on a Friday and will need to be returned on a Monday ready for cleaning.

The children had a wonderful first session at Forest school this week, learning about big and little by looking at animals hiding in the woods. The children also enjoyed exploring the woodland and making music with our giant instruments.

The children enjoyed finding out about the job of a builder this week by visiting some builders working near school.

"Builders wear bright coats and helmets. They do lots of digging. I wish I could be a builder".

Linked to our learning on builders we used hammers at Forest school to make our own leaf print pictures.

The children enjoyed a visit from the Police today and they learnt all about the job that they do to help the community.

We have started learning about Autumn this week and the children have enjoyed going on an Autumn walk, making Autumn collages and writing about signs of Autumn. The children have loved exploring the Autumn treasure that we found on our walk.
