Message from Our Head Teacher
Welcome to St.Matthew’s CE (Aided) Primary School and Nursery Centre. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website; we hope you enjoy finding more out about our school.
Please take a look at our EYFS (Nursery and Reception) setting here at St Matthew's by clicking the hyperlink below.
At St.Matthew’s we aim to be an innovative and inspiring school where pupils are challenged in their thinking, strive for continuous improvement and are motivated to become life-long learners. We provide a caring, supportive and mutually rewarding environment where distinctively Christian values and teaching are the cornerstones by which we learn.
At St.Matthew’s we believe in teamwork and that our Christian character shapes our relationships between all members of our school community. To this end, we ensure that we work very closely together with all our children, parents, staff and governors to enable everyone to reach their true potential and while we make no apology for our firmly rooted Christian ethos, it is important to say that treating one another with respect means understanding that some people will be of other faiths or no faith at all.
We are firmly committed to providing an education which encompasses the all-round development of every child, and provide the opportunity for each child to grow spiritually, morally, physically and intellectually as members of our very special community.
We hope that this website gives you an insight into our school, and we look forward to meeting you in person.
Mrs Deborah Mills
Head Teacher
