How do we support a child with a disability?
Some children and young people with a physical disability require additional ongoing support and equipment to access all the opportunities available to their peers.
At St Matthew’s we work to provide every pupil with access to the curriculum and do so through the school’s Accessibility Policy.
When a child with a disability starts at St Matthews the school’s SENCO, class teachers, parents and other agencies involved will meet together to complete a risk assessment and a care plan to ensure all the needs of the pupils are going to be met.
