This half term our topic is the Romans. 

We will be looking at life in Rome, what the Romans ate and what the Romans wore. We will also cover who was ruling Rome and the structure of power that existed. 

English - This half term we will be covering persuasive writing. We will be writing about ancient Rome and persuading someone to visit Rome. 

Reading - Our class book is called  History Hackers, Roman Rescue. Tilda and Charlie Hacker know that time travel isn't possible. So, when they discover a secret room in their new house containing the journals of the mysterious Professor Howe, they can't believe their eyes. Catapulted back into a time of Roman occupation, the history-hopping Hackers find themselves in unfamiliar and dangerous territory. Maths - In mathematics this half term we will be covering fractions and time. Children will learn to recognise and draw a half, quarter, third and eighth. In time we will be recapping half past, quarter to and past and 5 minute intervals. we will be covering how to read an analogue clock to the minute and begin to look at durations of time.

Science - In science this half term we will be looking at our changing world. We will grow sunflowers in class and see how they change week by week. We will look at seasons notice the changes. We will also look at seeds and leaves and how they change over the year.
