This half term our topic is Our Planet, Our World.

We will be looking in particular at the UK. We will be covering famous landmarks in the UK and their locations. We will be looking at counties in the UK and what they are famous for. 

English - This half term we will be covering narrative writing. We are writing a short mystery story based on our class text. 

Reading - Our class book is called  History Hackers, Roman Rescue. Tilda and Charlie Hacker know that time travel isn't possible. So, when they discover a secret room in their new house containing the journals of the mysterious Professor Howe, they can't believe their eyes. Catapulted back into a time of Roman occupation, the history-hopping Hackers find themselves in unfamiliar and dangerous territory. Join the siblings for the first exciting instalment in the History Hackers book series! Can Tilda and Charlie use their knowledge and cunning to outsmart their Roman captors and find their way back to twenty-first century York?

Maths - In maths this half term we will be covering time, shapes and measurement. In shapes we will be looking at right angles, acute and obtuse angles. We will also look at the properties of 2D and 3D shapes. In measurement we will look at measuring mass, volume and capacity. 

Science - Our science topic this half term is called 'Can you see me?'. We are looking at light, how light reflects off of mirrors and understanding that we need light to see.
